Drawing Crash Course

Service Description

In this short and intensive course, you will discover the drawing foundations, and explore different materials and techniques. You will get introduced to basic drawing tools and supplies, and learn to observe differently. The course lasts 6 weeks, and we will try out different mediums, and learn tips and tricks to copy a picture, invent a face from scratch, use color on a drawing, and have fun with your pencil doodling at home. The course is specially designed for beginners and you don't need any previous experience. However, if you already have some experience, you will surely gain new skills and discover new ways of using the drawing tools you have at home! You will learn: * Basic composition rules * Basic color theory * Copying a picture (working with a photo reference) * Drawing a face (and getting accurate proportions) * Different ways of using lights and shadows * How to use your graphite pencils * How to blend the graphite on the paper * How to use black ink pens (different techniques). ... and much more! The experience will be fun and will surely train your creativity! All art supplies will be provided! You will be invited to bring some favorite pictures to use as inspiration, but if you forget it, there will be magazines and books at the studio to use.
